Augusta University is a public university and academic medical centre in Augusta, Georgia. It offers 160 Academics.
Augusta University offers a Master of Health Science in Occupational Therapy which is comprised of six semesters, including 89 credit hours.
Requirements
- GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
- A minimum GRE score of 290 combined (2011 and later) or 900 (on earlier versions). A score of 3.5 or above is required on the writing session.
- Prior to enrollment, the applicant must have completed a minimum of 90 prerequisite hours at an accredited college.
- Applicants do not need to complete a baccalaureate degree prior to admission into the program.
- Applicants must submit, at minimum, three professional references; at least two must come from occupational therapists. The third may come from an OT, college professor, or work supervisor.
- A minimum of 60 hours is required in one or more settings alongside an occupational therapist.

1. Direct Entry – Master’s degree
- MOT: Direct entry into the OTD program.
- MSOT (with significant research component): May have up to 9 credits considered toward OTD from prior advanced graduate work.

Georgia State University is a public research university in Georgia. Founded in 1913, the student population of around 53,000 students, including approximately 33,000 undergraduate and graduate students at the main campus downtown as of 2018.
Initially intended as a night school, Georgia State University was established in 1913 as the Georgia School of Technology’s Evening School of Commerce
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- A minimum cumulative GPA average of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale for prerequisite courses.
- GRE within the last five years, including the quantitative, verbal and analytical writing components. A minimum score of 150 on the verbal and 140 on the quantitative sections of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is recommended. A minimum score of 3.5 in the analytical writing section is preferred. Georgia State’s GRE code is 5251.
- Three letters of recommendation. At least one from an occupational therapist, one from an academic instructor and one from a work supervisor, academic adviser or other health care professional (not family).
- Documentation of a minimum of 50 hours of work or volunteer experience in at least two different delivery systems, demonstrating exposure to and understanding of the occupational therapist’s role.
- Personal statement, no more than two pages, succinctly discussing how your academic background and life experiences will contribute to your success in the Occupational Therapy program while enhancing our program and the profession of occupational therapy. This is to be submitted only in OTCAS.
- A resume of professional and volunteer experiences.
- International students whose native language is not English must also submit an official report of their score on the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) taken within the last two years:
- – TOEFL with a score of 90 with no less than 20 on each subtest OR.
- – IELTS with a score of 6.5 with no less than six on each band score.
