Allen College is a private university here and located in Waterloo, Iowa.It was founded in 1925. For some time it was closed due to Depression, but again in 1942 it was reopened.

The Allen College offers 27 months of classroom and fieldwork preparation Master of Science (MS) degree in occupational therapy.

Requirements

St. Ambrose University is a private Roman Catholic university in Davenport, Iowa.

St. Ambrose was founded as a seminary and school of commerce for young men in 1882, known as St. Ambrose Academy.

  • Maintain a 3.3 GPA throughout the remainder of undergraduate studies.
  • Complete all prerequisite coursework with a 3.0 prerequisite GPA and no grades lower than C in prerequisite courses.
Minimum First-Year Requirements

The following minimum requirements must be met for First-Year students already attending St. Ambrose University:

  • Complete 20 observation hours with an OT in at least 2 settings if seeking admission during the first year at Ambrose
  • Personal statement describing interest in OT
  • 3.3 cumulative GPA by the end of the second semester of the first year
Minimum College Requirements Upon Admission

If accepted to the OT program, these are the minimum college requirements you must maintain:

  • Complete an additional 30+ hours of observation with an OT. Complete 10+ hours of service per year.
  • Maintain a 3.3 GPA throughout the remainder of undergraduate studies.
  • Complete all prerequisite coursework with a 3.0 prerequisite GPA and no grades lower than C in prerequisite courses. Prerequisite anatomy and physiology coursework (BIO 230/232) must be taken at SAU.
