There are 7 different Occupational Therapist Degrees/ Courses.

1. Certificate in Occupational Therapy Assisting

Certificate in Occupational Therapy Assisting is the program which helps you to become an occupational therapist aide. The Program Duration is 1 Year and it is a rare Program.

2. Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

If you want to become an Occupational Therapy Assistants then you can go for Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. It is the 2-year program which will get your National Certificate.

3. Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy is 4+2 or 4+1 programs, where you get the Both Bachelors and Masters degrees. Bachelors degree duration is 4 Years and Masters degrees Duration is 1 or 2 years. You can do both.

4.Master Of Occupational Therapy

Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) is a 1 or 2 years Master Degree. Here if you did your Bachelor degree in any other field than Occupational Therapy then you can opt for this Degree.

5.Transitional Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) Degree

Transitional Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) degree is 1-year Occupational Therapy Masters Degree which you can do if you have Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy.

6.Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) Degree 

Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree is 3 years the entry-level degree which you can do after any bachelor degree.

7.Transitional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) Degree 

Transitional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree is 2 years Occupational Therapy Degree. Transitional OTD degrees were developed specifically for practising occupational therapists who want to bridge the gap between their certificate, bachelor’s or master’s degrees in occupational therapy and earn their Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree. Most students complete these programs in two years.
